Botsync, a Singapore-based robotics startup that builds heavy-duty autonomous mobile robot solutions, has secured a seed round of funding, jointly led by Wong Fong Industries, SEEDS Capital, Angelhub, and Artesian Venture Partners.

The company will use the capital — the amount was not disclosed — to accelerate product development, build new technology teams and scale up production.

Wong Fong Industries, the provider of land transport engineering solutions and systems, announced Tuesday, that it has acquired HTMi Hotel and Tourism Management Institute (HTMi).

The board of directors (the “Board” or the “Directors”) of Wong Fong Industries Limited (the “Company” and together with its subsidiaries, the “Group”) announce, with much regret and sadness, the demise of Mr Lew Kit Foo @ Liew Foo, the Executive Chairman of the Company on 10 August 2018.

Wong Fong Industries will issue 43 million new shares priced at 23 cents apiece, to raise a total of S$8 million in net proceeds. The placement will close at 12pm on July 26, and the shares are expected to commence trading at 9am on July 28.The news has been featured on the Straits Times, Business Times, the Edge, and 联合早报.
