Wong Fong Industries Reports Stronger Performance in HY2026
Wong Fong Industries Limited has reported its unaudited financial results for the six months ended 30 June 2026 (HY2026), marking a stronger first half compared with the corresponding period last year.
The Group recorded S$31.0 million in revenue, an increase of 8.9% from S$28.5 million in HY2025. Growth was primarily driven by the Engineering business, where higher demand for new equipment and the completion of projects contributed to a S$2.7 million increase in revenue. The Training business recorded slightly lower revenue during the period, reflecting a decrease in the number of courses conducted.
Profitability also improved significantly during the period. Wong Fong recorded S$6.9 million in profit for HY2026, compared with S$0.8 million in the previous corresponding period. A key contributor was the completion of the disposal of the Group’s property at 16 Tuas Avenue 6, Singapore, which generated a gain of approximately S$6.2 million. The transaction was completed on 26 March 2026.
Beyond the reported earnings, the Group continued to maintain a solid financial position. Cash and bank balances increased to S$27.4 million as at 30 June 2026, compared with S$24.4 million at the end of 2025. Net cash generated from investing activities was S$6.4 million, primarily reflecting proceeds from the property disposal, while the Group also continued to meet its financing and dividend commitments during the period.
Looking ahead, Wong Fong expects the operating environment to remain challenging amid economic and geopolitical uncertainties. While equipment sales may experience some moderation, the Group anticipates resilient demand for equipment repairs and servicing. Within the Training business, demand for industrial courses is expected to remain resilient, while Wong Fong Academy continues to diversify its course offerings.
With continued focus on efficient execution, disciplined financial management and the development of its Engineering and Training businesses, Wong Fong remains focused on building sustainable long-term value for its stakeholders.
